Kulczak (pronounced 'cullzak' or 'cool-chack' if you prefer) is a second generation British Ukrainian Artist with a pronounced urban contemporary style that effortlessly fuses simple graffiti art and illustration with strong graphic design cues, knocking on the doors of fine art as a result.

Contemporary music, street-art and Turner (yes, Turner!) inspire this unassuming young man from Peterborough to compose such striking paintings that, when you are stood before them, you seem to be observing human life as if through some kind of magical illustrative microscope. Life is frequently represented in micro-scales and there is a recurring 'germ-like' theme to the manifestation of Kulczak's subject matter. Single cell organisms or bizarrely shaped 'bacteria' propagate the paintings and illustrations, but in an obviously human context. His more recent stencil paintings have widened this context somewhat, but with a similarly detailed focus. He used to paint art on buildings. Now he uses canvas to paint buildings.

'God is in the detail' they tell us. Kulczak is looking.
